One number, and it goes down.
Practice management platforms sell AI as a separate line item on top of the subscription you already pay for, at a flat rate however large you are. Cedent is one number, it works alongside the system you already use, and it falls as the firm grows.
No migration
Keep the practice management system you already run. Cedent sits alongside it, so there is nothing to move and no records to re-enter.
No usage meters
The one thing that never appears on your invoice is how much AI you used. No per-query charge, no token count, no month where the bill surprises you.
No upgrade conversation
Adding a paralegal is a $199 decision, not a move to a bigger plan. There is no tier above this one to be pushed toward.
Run it on your own numbers.
Set your rate, your admin load, how much of that load you expect to save, and the size of your firm. Cost per person falls as you add people, so the return climbs with the firm.
Common questions.
How does pricing work?
One plan. Your first seat is $249 a month, and every person you add after that is $199. Matters, storage and every feature are unlimited. There is no higher tier to buy and nothing is held back for a bigger plan.
Is there a per-query or per-AI-action charge?
No. All AI features, including email triage, deadline calculation, form filling and agent chat, are included in your plan. No usage meters and no surprise charges.
Why do additional seats cost less?
Most of the work Cedent does happens once, for the whole firm. It reads and organizes your firm's email whether one person uses it or five, and that is priced into the first seat. Everyone you add after joins a workspace that already exists, so they cost less.
What if my firm grows?
Add people as you hire them. Each one is $199 a month, so your cost per person goes down as the firm grows. We show you the prorated amount before any seat is added, and you confirm it first.
Do I have to replace my practice management system?
No, and we would rather you did not. Cedent works alongside Clio, MyCase, PracticePanther and Smokeball rather than replacing them. There is no data migration to schedule and no records to move.
Can I pay monthly, or annually?
Either. Monthly can be cancelled at any time. Annual is billed upfront and saves 20%: $199 for your first seat and $159 for each one after. No long-term contract either way.
Can I try it before paying?
Yes. Every account starts with a 14-day free trial. We take a card up front so nothing interrupts your work when the trial ends, and you can cancel before then without being charged.
Which counties are supported?
Alameda, Santa Clara and San Francisco are loaded in depth today: local rules, courthouse departments, clerk hours, filing procedures and current fees. Everywhere else in California, deadlines still calculate on the statewide judicial holiday calendar. We are adding counties continuously, and we will tell you honestly where yours sits.
Start on your own matters.
Fourteen days on your own caseload, with your mailbox connected. Cancel before the trial ends and you are not charged.
