New

Court forms, filled from your matter

Cedent now generates completed California family law forms from the facts already in your matter.

Open any matter, choose Generate, and pick from:

  • FL-150, Income and Expense Declaration, including the monthly expense schedule
  • FL-142, Schedule of Assets and Debts, covering real property, accounts, vehicles, loans, and cards
  • RA-010, Notice of Remote Appearance

Cedent fills what it can from the documents, emails, and facts it has already organized for that matter, and tells you where each value came from and how confident it is. Anything it cannot source, it asks you for directly instead of guessing.

The caption block fills itself

Your firm name, address, and lead attorney details come from your firm profile. The court name, branch, and address come from Cedent’s courthouse directory, so the header of every form is correct before you look at it.

You review everything before it is final

Every field is editable. Nothing is filed, sent, or locked without you. Once you approve a draft it locks so it cannot be changed underneath you, and when you need to file the same form again later, you make a fresh copy rather than editing history. If a schedule runs longer than the form allows, Cedent adds the continuation attachment for you.

New

Bring in files from OneDrive and SharePoint

You can now pull documents straight into a matter from OneDrive or a SharePoint site. Pick a single file or a whole folder, and Cedent brings it in and organizes it alongside everything else in the matter.

You can also keep a folder watched, so new files that land there show up in the matter without you doing anything.

New

Your Outlook calendar, in sync

Connect your Outlook calendar and your Cedent deadlines appear on it automatically.

It works both directions. Hearings and appointments you add in Outlook flow back into Cedent, where you can link them to the right matter. Cedent shows you the ones it is not certain about and lets you confirm them in a batch rather than one at a time.

Confidential matters stay private. You control what gets shared to your calendar, and colleagues only see what they are already permitted to see.

Improved

Alameda County court information

Cedent now knows the real details for Alameda County courthouses, including clerk hours, departments, filing procedures, and current fees.

It uses them in two places: when it answers your questions about where and how to file, and when it fills the court information on a form. More counties are being added.

Improved

Faster date filtering in billing

Billing has two new one-click filters, Today and Yesterday, plus a proper date range picker.

Pulling the entries you need to review now takes one click instead of scrolling through everything.

Improved

Chat references are now links

When Cedent references a draft or cites a source in its answers, that reference is now a link.

Click it and go straight to the draft or the document the answer came from, instead of searching for it yourself.

Improved

Email attachments and BCC

You can now attach documents to the emails you send from Cedent, and BCC when you need to.

If your mailbox connection has expired, Cedent tells you before you have written the message rather than after you try to send it.
